Electrical safety testing

Type tests to the IS and IEC series for appliances, luminaires, control gear and IT equipment — insulation resistance, dielectric strength, leakage current, earth continuity, abnormal operation and endurance.

Photometry & LM-79

Goniophotometer and integrating-sphere measurement of luminous flux, intensity distribution, efficacy, CCT, CRI and chromaticity, reported to IS 16106 and IES LM-79.

EMC, EMI & immunity

Conducted and radiated emissions, harmonics and flicker, plus ESD, EFT/burst, RF and voltage-dip immunity to the CISPR and IEC 61000 series.

Environmental & climatic

Damp heat, dry heat, cold, thermal cycling and combined exposure to the IEC 60068 series and MIL-STD 810 for accelerated life assessment.

Ingress protection & impact

IP and IK classification of enclosures to IS/IEC 60529 and IEC 62262 using dust chambers, water jets, immersion tanks and impact hammers.

Wireless & RF

Radio equipment testing against the ETSI EN 300 and EN 302 series for short range devices, 2.4 GHz systems and broadband wireless access.

EV charger testing

Conductive charging system evaluation to the IS 17017 / IEC 61851 series, covering AC and DC supply equipment and on-board charger EMC.

Compliance consultancy

Standard selection, pre-compliance screening, BIS and CE documentation support, and corrective-action guidance ahead of certification submission.

Common questions

Before you send a sample

It depends on the standard. Safety and endurance sequences are destructive, so most luminaire jobs need three to five units. We confirm the exact count in the quotation.
Photometric and basic safety reports typically take five to seven working days. Endurance and environmental sequences run to the duration written into the standard, which can be several weeks.
Yes. You get the failing clause, the measured value and the limit. We can advise on the likely cause and retest the modified sample under the same conditions.
For installed systems and large assemblies, some tests can be performed at your site. Ask us during scoping and we will confirm what is feasible.
Reports are issued under our accreditation and recognition. Confirm the current recognition status for your specific scheme with us before applying.
